PG Webcast: Price Chopper, SpartanNash to Discuss Digital Initiatives
Digital and marketing executives from Price Chopper and SpartanNash will discuss digital marketing strategies during a free hour-long webcast to be held June 18, 2014, at 2 p.m. EST. The webcast is sponsored by Mercatus Technologies and will be moderated by Progressive Grocer.
Most grocers today face the challenge of adapting to new and emerging digital technologies with an infrastructure and processes that were developed before smartphones became ubiquitous. On top of this, these grocers must prepare for tomorrow’s shopper—who grew up on social media and mobile apps and has never had newspaper ink on her fingers.
This webcast will explore the various ways in which mobile and digital technologies are transforming the food retailing landscape. This will include looking at how grocers function organizationally as well as how they engage shoppers and develop insights about their shopping experiences. It will also explore grocers’ current capabilities as they relate to digital and what they need to do to integrate new and emerging digital technology into their organizations to best prepare for tomorrow’s digital shopper.
Panelists will also discuss the results of the exclusive Stagnito / Carbonview in-depth research on consumer digital shopping preferences.
Panelists include:
- Linh Peters, VP of marketing, SpartanNash
- Thom Riley, sr. applications architect & digital strategist, Price Chopper Supermarkets
- Heidi Reale, dir. of digital shopper marketing, Price Chopper Supermarkets
- Sylvain Perrier, president and CEO, Mercatus Technologies
