Price Chopper Names Nolan SVP/CIO
Price Chopper Supermarkets/Golub Corp. has hired Tracy Nolan to the position of SVP/CIO. Reporting directly to President and CEO Jerel Golub, Nolan will be responsible for aligning business strategy to information technology for the Schenectady, N.Y.-based chain.
Bringing more than 30 years of experience in information technology to his latest role, Nolan has worked for several Fortune 500 companies, among them Commercial Metals, Cameron International and Merial. He also spent more than 20 years at General Electric, where he held the roles of chief technology officer, manufacturing systems leader, engineering systems leader and leader of cost reduction initiatives.
The Golub Corp. owns and operates 134 Price Chopper grocery stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The family-owned company employs more than 22,000 associates who collectively own 52 percent of its privately held stock.
