Price Chopper Presents 5th ‘Build-A-Bouquet'

Kids can take part in Price Chopper’s fifth annual “Build-A-Bouquet” activity on Saturday, May 11 (the day before the observance) from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We coordinate the ‘Build-A-Bouquet’ for Mother’s Day events expressly to give kids the opportunity to personalize a gift for Mom,” said Mona Golub, VP of public relations and consumer and marketing services at Schenectady, N.Y.-based Price Chopper. “Kids take great care in selecting the flowers, choosing from the variety of colored tissue paper and ribbons, and customizing the card. The Price Chopper experience is as much about taking care of family and celebrating tradition as it is about saving money on your food bill.”

Children 12 and under can choose three bunches of flowers with which to create a custom bouquet: Core Flowers (alstromeria, poms, mini carnations and carnations); Focal Flowers (snapdragons, matsumoto, cremons, spiders, sunflowers and stock); and Fillers (baby’s breath, limonium, statice and asters).

Once they’ve assembled their bouquets, the kids will wrap them in colorful tissue, tie them with ribbons and personalize them with a specially designed card for Mom. The cost to build a bouquet is $5 plus tax.

In response to popular demand, this year Price Chopper is offering Build-A-Bouquet stations at all 131 of its locations.

The Golub Corp. owns and operates Price Chopper stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
