Progressive Grocer Announces Third Annual Retail Dietitian Symposium
Consumers continue to hold grocery retail accountable for food safety and health and wellness support. In turn, Progressive Grocer is committed to supporting the burgeoning retail dietitian segment of the industry, and will host its third annual Retail Dietitian Symposium, June 8-9 at the W Chicago City Center.
This exclusive, invitation-only event is designed specifically for the most active retail dietitians in the grocery industry. The event features exclusive research and presentations addressing the business of nutrition, customer engagement and key strategies for maximizing and tracking return on investment. The event features hours of continuing education credits approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as invaluable networking opportunities.
More than half of retailer respondents to Progressive Grocer’s 2014 retail dietitian survey indicate they employ at least one retail dietitian, with some chains employing dozens. Retailers recognize that dietitians are a key, trusted asset that speaks directly to their most loyal shoppers. Further, Progressive Grocer research indicates that grocers that employ dietitians are far more engaged with customers on wellness issues than retailers without them.
Progressive Grocer works with an advisory board of retail dietitians to ensure that Retail Dietitian Symposium content – including trends, research and strategies – is the most relevant for their profession and the grocery retail industry.
To receive an invitation for the Retail Dietitian Symposium, retail dietitians should email Joan Driggs at [email protected]; sponsors should email Jeff Friedman at [email protected].
