Progressive Grocer Seeking 2009 Top Women in Grocery Nominees
Progressive Grocer is calling on the trade to submit entrants for its third annual salute to the leading women in the supermarket industry, which will be featured in the June/July 2009 issue.
In a business where males have traditionally far outnumbered females in the corporate suite, Progressive Grocer will recognize the accomplishments of women who are helping to initiate change. As in years past, nominees will represent all major sectors of the grocery industry: retailers suppliers, and wholesalers.
To be considered a Progressive Grocer Top Women in Grocery candidate, nominees are required to demonstrate outstanding leadership and wield substantial influence in their companies and in the industry at large. Candidates must also be deeply involved in the communities they serve and in philanthropic, civic and charitable activities.
All entries must be received by April 15, 2009, along with any additional testimonial(s) from colleagues, suppliers or customers about the candidates' qualifications for Top Women in Grocery.
