Publix Chooses Axway for Mission-critical Data Exchanges

Publix Super Markets, Inc. has selected Axway's managed file transfer system, known as Transfer, to manage the flow of operational data between the grocer's 1,000-plus stores and its corporate headquarters in Lakeland, Fla.

Phoenix-based Axway is the leading global provider of multi-enterprise solutions and infrastructure. Its Synchrony framework will be the backbone for the Transfer system, which will work with Axway's Sentinel information-monitoring system. Publix currently employs Axway's B2B gateway technology.

"For true operational efficiency, it's critical to have a secure infrastructure that streamlines the 'one-to-many' data exchanges that drive the retail supply chain -- spanning stores, manufacturers and franchises," said Dave Bennett, chief technology officer at Axway. "Companies like Publix, who are committed to operational efficiency, trust Axway's solutions to provide visibility, flexibility and security as they move data inside and outside their enterprises."
