Publix Confirms Purchase of Two Albertson's Sites
LAKELAND, Fla. - Publix Super Markets Inc. today confirmed plans to purchase two Miami-area sites from Albertson's. The transaction is expected to be completed by mid December.
The sites will be at: 7805 SW 40th St. and the intersection of Menores Street and 37th Avenue.
"We plan to rebuild, remodel or expand the buildings at these sites," said CEO Charlie Jenkins Jr. "The demand for the high-quality service our associates provide gives us the opportunity to reinvest in Miami by acquiring additional sites for Publix stores."
Currently Publix has 675 stores in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama.
