Ralph’s Offers $4 Generic Drugs
Ralph’s said it is applying a $4 price to hundreds of generic drugs prescribed for 30-day supplies, which will be available at 90 pharmacies in Ralphs stores.
The program includes generic alternatives for some of the most commonly prescribed drugs used to treat conditions such as diabetes, asthma, depression, heart disease, thyroid, and other health problems, said the chain, which is owned by The Kroger Co.
In addition to being available at Ralph’s pharmacies, the $4 prescriptions are available on-line and via telephone orders for customers to pick up in a store.
Ralphs will also offer generic versions of the family planning drugs Ortho Cyclen and Ortho Tri Cyclen (28-day supply), as well as a fertility drug for $9.
Ralphs operates 266 supermarkets in California and employs 25,000 associates.
