Randalls Now Delivers Groceries
Texas grocer Randalls has launched grocery delivery service for residents in the Houston and Austin areas.
The new service relies on a fleet of 25 new temperature-controlled trucks, which provide varying temperatures for frozen and dairy goods. Randalls employees select the items and store them in compartments, from which they are not removed until delivery.
Customers with a minimum order of $49 can order online or via the company’s mobile app and choose a delivery time for the groceries. Orders must be placed by 3 a.m. for same-day delivery between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., and by 8:30 a.m. for same-day delivery between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Randalls is a division of Boise-based Albertsons Cos., and operates 44 stores in the Houston and Austin metropolitan areas.
