Reader's Digest Launches Line of Publications For Supermarkets
PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - The Reader's Digest Association Inc. is launching RD Specials, an extensive line of publications for supermarket checkout racks nationwide. The program features the brands of Reader's Digest and Reiman Publications.
RD Specials include informative health, food and home content from Reader's Digest, Taste of Home, The Family Handyman magazines and the Books and Home Entertainment division of Reader's Digest. The first of 17 annual RD Special issues will go on sale Nov. 4.
"We are pleased to enter the supermarket checkout field with high-quality publications that extend the franchises of our existing titles," said Frank Lalli, VP for development.
The digest-sized RD Specials are aimed largely at women between 35 and 49. The program will launch with a total distribution of more than 400,000 copies per issue.
