Rice Epicurean Markets Enhances On-Line Grocery Shopping and Delivery Service
Houston-based Rice Epicurean Markets has completed a series of enhancements to its online grocery shopping and delivery service (www.RiceDelivers.com), including new lower service fees, the addition of thousands of new products, a new fleet of refrigerated delivery trucks, additional customer support staff, and a line of private label products.
"We decided to make these enhancements after listening to suggestions from our customers on how we could better serve them," said Gary Friedlander, president of Rice Epicurean Markets. "Additionally we are reinforcing our commitment to customer service by adding additional staff and home delivery managers at each of our locations."
According to the retailer, it’s the only grocery chain in the city of Houston that offers online shopping and home delivery, and the enhancements reflect the evolution of the service designed to provide convenience for shoppers as well as the highest-quality goods and service.
Delivery fees have been lowered to $9.95 for most deliveries through Dec. 31, 2009, and the fee for pic-up at any of the five Houston-area Rice Epicurean Market locations is $4.95.
The oldest family-owned supermarket chain in Houston, Rice Epicurean Markets operates five locations. It has offered online ordering of groceries since 2003.
