Ruddick Corp. Announces Retirement of Two Officers
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Ruddick Corporation, the parent company of Harris Teeter, today announced that R. Stuart Dickson and Alan T. Dickson have announced their retirement as officers of the company.
They will remain on the Board of Directors and continue to serve the company as chairman of the executive committee and chairman of the board, respectively. In addition, they will be available to management for strategic advice and counsel as well as possible involvement in significant operational issues.
Thomas W. Dickson will continue as president and principal executive officer of the company.
Ruddick Corporation is a holding company which operates two subsidiaries: Harris Teeter Inc., a regional chain of supermarkets in six southeastern states, and American & Efird Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial sewing thread.
They will remain on the Board of Directors and continue to serve the company as chairman of the executive committee and chairman of the board, respectively. In addition, they will be available to management for strategic advice and counsel as well as possible involvement in significant operational issues.
