Save Mart Launches App for Savings, Shopping Convenience
Save Mart Supermarkets has launched a rewards program in two of its banners. Driven by an integrated smartphone app, the platform provides savings and aims to make food shopping more convenient.
Shoppers at Save Mart and Lucky can start using the “Save Smart” program at stores throughout Sacramento and the Central Valley, Calif., area and Reno, Nev. “Lucky You” will launch in Lucky stores in northern California’s Bay Area March 18.
“Our new rewards program is distinctive and unique,” said Nicole Pesco, co-president and chief strategy and branding officer. “This comprehensive platform establishes a shopping profile for each member – providing them a fully integrated space to plan meals by browsing our online recipe database, creating shopping lists, clipping electronic coupons and viewing the weekly ad – simplifying the shopping experience when they arrive at the store. Plus, members of the new “Save Smart” and “Lucky You” programs will accrue airline-style points that can be redeemed for a variety of in-store rewards.”
The “Lucky You” and “Save Smart” rewards program offers three key benefits, all customized for the shopper:
- Savings: E-coupons and rewards are selected in the app or online, moved into a shopper’s account, and redeemed automatically at checkout. Points accrued post-purchase allow shoppers to choose their rewards from a variety of offers such a free products or cash off the next purchase.
- Easy Meal-Planning: The app features a proprietary database of thousands of meal recipes for families or the ardent foodie. Ingredients can be instantly added to the shopping list.
- Convenience: The rewards program app enables a busy mom to update her shopping list throughout the day, as well as clip coupons or redeem points for in-store offers before heading to the store.
Weekly, advertised prices remain available to all Lucky and Save Mart shoppers, even if they choose not to join the rewards program.
