The Sperry & Hutchinson Company, Inc. (S&H)

"One of the key benefits of the S&H greenpoints program is exclusivity, which provides us with a strong differentiator in a tough market," saidCurtis Oldenkamp, president of Lowes Foods. "The greenpoints program has demonstrated its ability to significantly improve sales and will encourage shoppers to make more of their purchases at Lowes Foods."
The greenpoints program is being launched in all Lowes Foods locations throughout North Carolina and Virginia, and customers can enroll at their local store. Shoppers will see their greenpoints balance on each receipt, and will be able to select from more than 1,000 rewards ranging from movie tickets to household appliances to DVD players. Soon, shoppers will also be able to use greenpoints directly at the checkout for free or discounted grocery items. Lowes Foods Rewards catalogs will be distributed free of charge at Lowes Foods stores or shoppers can use the online catalog at www.greenpoints.com.
"We're delighted that Lowes Foods has selected S&H greenpoints, the next generation one-to-one loyalty program that has already proved dramatic positive results in sales and margin growth," said Rod Parker, president and CEO of S&H greenpoints. "The addition of Lowes Foods represents a significant milestone in the national rollout of the greenpoints solution. During the first half of 2001 we doubled the number of stores offering the program and we are very optimistic about the outlook for the second half of the year and into 2002."
