Shop ‘n Save Claims Million-dollar Winners
The independently owned and operated grocery chain Shop ‘n Save has sold its second $1 million winning lottery ticket since July.
The Pennsylvania Lottery announced one of the winning Powerball tickets from the Dec. 15 drawing, worth $1 million, was sold at the Heidelberg, Pa., Shop ‘n Save. The ticket matched all five white balls but missed the red Powerball; the winner had not yet come forward as of press time.
This marks the second time this year a Sorbara family-owned Shop ‘n Save sold a $1 million winning ticket. In July, the Cranberry location also sold a winning Powerball ticket.
“Every employee at Shop ‘n Save is really excited to find out which one of our customers is the winner,” said Jeff Sorbara, owner of six locations including both stores to sell the winning tickets. “We hope to keep our streak of luck going and make some more millionaires in 2013.”
There are more than 90 independently owned and operated Shop ‘n Save stores in Western Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Ohio and West Virginia
