In the Spotlight: Cecelia's Cara Cara Pink Naval Oranges

Cecelia Packaging Corp.'s Cara Cara Pink Navel Oranges are being picked and packed and making their way to customers around the U.S. and Canada.

Boasting a pink pulp and an original tangy and sweet citrus taste, Cecelia's Cara Caras are less acidic than other orange varieties, and contain high levels of lycopene, a naturally occurring nutrient that gives its distinctive reddish color to many fruits and vegetables.

“We have a good sized crop this year, up about 15% to 20% over last year,” said Randy Jacobson, Cecelia's sales manager. “We will have great volume from the first week of December, well into April.”
