Stein Named VP of Performance and Development at Kraft

Kraft Foods has appointed Regenia Stein to be vice president of business performance, industry development and communications, replacing Denny Belcastro, who recently retired.

One of Progressive Grocer’s Top Women in Grocery for 2008, Stein’s role expands following her successful two-year tenure as VP of trade strategy, integrated planning and execution. Her new position incorporates industry affairs and communications into her current responsibilities, which include end-to-end business process management, trade strategy and collaborative planning for the North American Sales function. She will report directly to Mike Hsu, Kraft North America president of sales, customer service and logistics.

“Regenia has an impressive track record with strong retail relationships and will help to further accelerate our business performance,” Hsu said.

Stein’s previous positions include central area VP for Kraft Foods North America customer development, VP of national accounts at Miller Brewing and several other increasingly influential roles within the Kraft and predecessor General Foods sales organizations.

She serves on the board of the Network of Executive Women, for which she is the sponsorship chair and is a member of the Executive Leadership Council. Stein holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix.

Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft Foods is the world’s second largest food company, with a portfolio that includes Oreo, Nabisco, Trident, Maxwell House, Philadelphia cream cheeses and Oscar Mayer meats.
