Stew Leonard's Deploys Deli Kiosk in Yonkers, N.Y. Store

NORWALK, Conn. -- Stew Leonard's here has rolled out the S4G Deli self-service kiosk solution from Lombard, Ill.-based ADUSA, Inc., a provider of self-ordering solutions for grocery supermarkets, restaurants, and foodservice operations, in its Yonkers, N.Y. store.

"At Stew Leonard's, we are always looking for ways to enhance the customer shopping
experience," noted Tom Arthur, president of Stew Leonard's Yonkers store. "Since we never met a customer who liked to wait in line, ADUSA's deli kiosk is a great option for customers to use to place their order at the deli, since it is both efficient and easy to use."

The kiosks will allow customers to self-order the full range of items available at the service deli, among them meats, cheeses, party trays, and eventually sandwiches, reducing, or completely eliminating, the time that a customer has to spend waiting in line.

ADUSA's system easily scalable solution that works as effectively for small retail chains as it does for large ones, according to the company.

The vendor has again teamed with business partners IBM and Olea, who are providing the kiosk hardware, kiosk stand, and peripherals.

Other ADUSA clients include Giant Eagle, H.E. Butt, Kroger, Price Chopper, Stater Bros., Sunset Foods, and Unified Western Grocers.

Stew Leonard's, which has just been named one of Fortune magazines "100 Best Companies to Work For" for the seventh consecutive year, this time ranking at No. 26, operates four stores in Norwalk, Danbury, and Newington, Conn. and Yonkers, N.Y.
