Sunbelt Gets its ‘Kicks’ by Funding Youth Soccer
Snack and cereal brand Sunbelt® has rolled out a national “Free Kicks” loyalty program, which has the goal of helping families raise money for United States Youth Soccer Association (US Youth Soccer) clubs.
As the official granola snack of US Youth Soccer, Sunbelt, a division of Collegedale, Tenn.-based McKee Foods, is committed to helping soccer players at all levels continue to enjoy the game, learn life lessons and remain active in a healthy environment.
“Our Free Kicks loyalty program is really a win-win for soccer players and their families,” said Jeff Badger, Sunbelt brand manager. “Not only do they get to enjoy a great-tasting, healthy snack that’s perfect for their active lifestyle, they also get to raise money for their US Youth Soccer clubs.”
Consumers can buy specially marked boxes of Sunbelt Granola Bars and Fruit & Grain bars with a code on the box, and then visit SunbeltFreeKicks.com, register for the program and enter their code. Each code is equal to 10 cents for a US Youth Soccer club. Each entry also registers a consumer’s club for a chance to win one of 12 $1,000 monthly prizes and two $2,500 biannual prizes. As well as raising money for their clubs, consumers can play a game that enables them to take a free kick for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate from Soccer.com.
“As a soccer coach myself, I know how important it is to raise money for new soccer equipment, supplies and other expenses,” added Badger.
Frisco, Texas-based US Youth Soccer is the largest youth sports organization in the country and largest member of the United States Soccer Federation, the governing body of soccer in the United States.
