Sunflower Farmers Market to Open New Boulder Store
Natural and organic foods retailer Sunflower Farmers Market said it plans to open its fifth Colorado location as part of a strategy to double its stores in the state by year’s end.
“Sunflower Farmers Market is the perfect complement to the lifestyles in the area,” said c.e.o. Mike Gilliland. “While residents focus on staying healthy and active, Sunflower focuses on providing the freshest and healthiest products at the best possible prices.”
The company’s format offers a full-service farmers’ market-style grocery store featuring natural and organic products at low prices.
“You’ll find every department that you’d expect to find in a typical supermarket – meat, seafood, cheese, deli, bakery, grocery, and vitamins – but with a special emphasis on fresh produce, the largest department in our store,” said Gilliland.
Sunflower operates 14 stores in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. Along with its heavy expansion in Colorado, the retailer will launch into new markets in Utah this summer.
