Tree of Life Boosts Natural/organic Positioning with Acquisition
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- In a move that beefs up its organic/natural products distribution capability, specialty distributor Tree of Life, Inc. here has agreed to acquire Organica USA, Inc., a privately owned distributor of organic and select specialty foods based in Miami.
Organica USA carries and distributes organic, natural, and specialty foods from more than 100 manufacturers to customers throughout south Florida and the Florida Keys.
The deal takes effect immediately, Tree of Life said yesterday. All orders will be processed through the Tree of Life customer service center and distribution network.
Tree of Life serves customers throughout the United States and Canada. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Wessanen NV, based in The Netherlands.
