Turn on the Juice
With the weather fast heating up, Glendale, Calif.-based Nestle USA has introduced a more nutritious way than soda for children to quench their thirst: Juicy Juice Sparkling fruit juice beverage. Blending 70 percent real fruit juice with 30 percent lightly carbonated water, the product line is an excellent source of Vitamin C, according to the company, which adds that each flavor — the beverages come in Apple, Berry and Orange varieties — counts as one serving of fruit toward the daily recommended intake. The suggested retail price for a colorful, recyclable 8.4-ounce can specially designed to fit in kids’ hands is 99 cents, while a 4-pack goes for a suggested $2.68 to $2.99.
