Tyson Foods Creates New Position
SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Tyson Foods Inc. has created a new position of senior vice president, commodity and trading risk management, which will be filled by Jean Mhra Beach, The Associated Press reports.
Beach, who brings 13 years of experience in economic analysis, trading, and risk management to the company, will report to chairman and chief executive John Tyson. She will be responsible for evaluating market opportunities and risk factors in the company's commodity management and devising a way to make the most of economic returns, the company announced Monday.
The new position was created after the company evaluated its needs with the purchase last year of meatpacker IBP Inc. of South Dakota.
