UNFI Completes Merger with Millbrook Distribution Services, Inc.
DAYVILLE, Conn. -- Wholesaler United Natural Foods, Inc. The parties did not disclose financial terms of the transaction.
UNFI said last month it intended to merge with Millbrook. "This opportunity is consistent with our plan to expand our presence in the specialty foods segment and enhance the breadth of our products, resources, and distribution network," said UNFI president and c.e.o. Michael Funk in a statement.
With annualized revenues of over $300 million, Millbrook distributes more than 22,000 specialty food items, and over 20,000 HBC and other nonfood products to more then 9,000 retail locations in 48 states. Among Millbrook's customers are independent store retailers, regional and national supermarkets, mass merchandisers and chain drug stores.
Millbrook's distribution network consists of four distribution centers, with a combined total of over 1.6 million square feet of warehouse space.
