Unilever to Sell Bertolli Olive Oil for $1 Billion
Unilever, the world's second-largest consumer-products company, has agreed to sell its Bertolli olive oil and vinegar unit to Grupo SOS for 630 million euros ($1 billion).
London-and Rotterdam-based Unilever said it will retain the Bertolli brands for margarine, pasta sauces, and frozen meals.
The Maya, Dante, and San Giorgio olive oil seed and oil brands are being sold, along with a plant at Inveruno, Italy.
