Valpak Coupons Now Available on CheckPoints
Valpak, a provider of local print and digital coupons to 170 markets in North America, plans to expand its reach by making its coupons available on CheckPoints, an app that was developed to give shoppers easy access to discounts and savings right when and where they need them.
Valpak will offer its hyper-local savings to mobile consumers via CheckPoints, a shopper rewards app, with national brand partners such as Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Energizer, Belkin, Nestle, Kimberly Clark and Coca-Cola.
CheckPoints, developed by the Largo, Fla.-based company of the same name, allows consumers to check in and earn rewards for scanning product bar codes at grocery stores, drug stores, and restaurants using location-based service technology such as that used by Foursquare. The company's newest version 3.0 for iPhone now features Valpak coupons, which are found under the "deals" icon.
"Valpak is always looking for innovative ways to engage consumers with relevant savings," said Nancy Cook, VP of digital business. "Mobile devices not only reach consumers on the go, but also provide a unique opportunity to create real time experiences between consumers and our advertisers."
CheckPoints has access to millions of users in its network who are looking for savings or rewards where they shop, the company said. "We're seeing a once in a generation shift in media consumption, and mobile devices are at the forefront as a resource for shoppers in the store,” said Todd Dipaola, president and co-founder of CheckPoints. “For these consumers, CheckPoints is like a shopping Swiss Army knife. Valpak has long been regarded as a leading resource for shoppers, and we're bringing the value of the Blue Envelope to our savvy mobile consumers.”
There are several ways consumers can use CheckPoints to collect points. Shoppers can check in at local stores, where featured products can then be scanned. CheckPoints also features mini-games, such as a slot machine and scratch-off ticket, that can instantly win enough points for a tablet computer. With CheckPoints 3.0, consumers can Scan@Home with everyday household products, collecting rewards without leaving the comfort of their own homes.
Points are also available through sharing CheckPoints with friends, watching videos, and shopping or searching online with the CheckPoints RewardsBar. Rewards range from gift cards at several retail outlets, such as Amazon.com, Apple, Home Depot, Hermes, and Louis Vuitton, to gadgets like a tablet computer or gaming system, airline miles or donations to charities like the American Red Cross and Humane Society.
CheckPoints is available to download in the Apple App Store and the Android Market.
