Wakefern Exec to Speak at NJFC Event
Jeff Reagan, SVP of corporate merchandising, advertising and nonperishables at Keasbey, N.J.-based Wakefern Food Corp., will be the featured dinner speaker at the New Jersey Food Council (NJFC) Trade Relations Conference scheduled for June 6-7 at The Borgata in Atlantic City. Reagan, will present his views on the food industry and share his expertise on the New Jersey marketplace during the event’s NJFC Executives Reception and awards program.
Additionally, John DePuy, client team leader at Irvine, Calif.-based Advantage Sales & Marketing, will receive the NJFC Max Stone Trade Relations Award. “Having spent almost his entire adult life serving the food industry, John is an incredibly deserving recipient of this prestigious trade award,” noted Linda Doherty, president of Trenton-based NJFC. “John has built a longstanding career on providing superior service to vendors and clients while displaying a vigorous spirit for helping clients develop solutions to their problems and programs tailored to their needs.”
The award is named for the longtime trade relations leader for Best Foods CPC, in recognition of his accomplished career in the Garden State.
The event will also feature the 5th Annual New Product Competition, at which food suppliers offer new food items for conference attendees to sample and vote the best new product. Companies must be registered for the event to take part in the competition. According to tradition, the event will wind up with golf at Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway, N.J.
