BENTONVILLE, Ark. - Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has purchased the rights to exclusively sell 35mm Polaroid film, The Associated Press reported on Tuesday.
Wal-Mart signed an agreement with Agfa, the German film manufacturer that controls the Polaroid name.
Wal-Mart spokesman Rob Phillips told the AP that a high percentage of people still use standard 35-millimeter film, and that the company will offer it as long as there is customer demand.
