Wal-Mart Lists States that Take the Lead in 'Football Food' Purchases
BENTONVILLE, Ark. -- With the biggest game of the NFL season only a week away, Wal-Mart yesterday released a list detailing the states in which its sells the most "football food."
Here's Wal-Mart’s scoreboard:
No. 1: Utah and Louisiana lead the way in sales of both breaded and unbreaded chicken wings.
No. 2: Nebraska and South Dakota are ahead of the pack when it comes to frozen pizza.
No. 3: New Mexico and Virginia prevail in the potato chip category.
No. 4: Kentucky and Louisiana are dynamos in dip sales.
No. 5: South Dakota and Indiana are the superstars of the snack mixes.
No. 6: North and South Dakota cheer for the mixed nuts.
Wal-Mart said it is offering shoppers a game-time guide to help them plan their big game get-togethers. At Walmart.com/gametime, customers can create interactive shopping lists based on the amount of guests they plan to host, find recipes, and get party planning advice.
