Wal-Mart’s Más Club to Open in July 2 in Houston

Sam’s Club’s Hispanic-themed Más Club concept will debut July 2 in Houston, offering a variety of products imported from Latin American countries.

The 143,000-square-foot store will offer fresh produce and meats, including a variety of cuts, and a full-service meat and seafood counter. It will carry a selection of Hispanic foods and international brands including beverages, spices and candy for both family use and small-business resale.

In addition, the store will provide space for an outdoor shopping and an event area, and its café will offer fresh-made tortillas. It will also have its own gas station, exclusive to Más Club Members.

Membership to Más Club is exclusive, and existing Sam’s Club members interested in Más Club will need to purchase a separate annual membership to shop at the facility.

Sam's Club first unveiled the concept in October 2008, and said at that time that locations were slated to open this year.
