Walmart, Sam’s Partner With Philly Chamber for B-to-B Expo

Walmart Stores and Sam’s Club, in partnership with The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Minority Supplier Development Council, will give local businesses an opportunity to sit with Walmart buyers and debut their products as a way to help provide an economic boost to local communities.

The business- to-business expo will take place on Tues., Sept. 22, 2009 at the Center City Marriott on 1201 Market Street in Philadelphia.

According to information on Walmart’s corporate Web site, program attendees will learn how to do business with Walmart and Sam’s Club via representatives from the retailer’s home office in Bentonville, Ark., as well as the local regional office in Ewing, N. J., who will be available to share procurement information and requirements with attendees interested in opportunities with Walmart Stores as well as Sam’s Club.

The company said the event will also give “local businesses a chance to sit with Walmart buyers and debut their products, and develop beneficial networking relationships with a number of other businesses that will be attending the unique event.”
