Walmart Stores, PAC to Host In-store Demos
In preparation for the Fourth of July holiday, the Peruvian Avocado Commission (PAC) will launch a series of in-store demos at Walmart stores nationwide in an effort to drive sales of Peru's largest U.S. export.
More than 380 Walmart locations will host demos from June 26 -29, for such dishes as the famous Avo Dog – a hotdog topped with Avocados from Peru.
“We want to make sure that both retailers and consumers are aware of the availability of Avocados from Peru during the peak summer season and especially over the July 4th weekend,” said Enrique Camet, PAC board chairman.
The promotion will be supported by 30-second radio spots in 18 markets across the county, a full-page ad featured in trade publications, as well as engaging social media posts on PAC's Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook pages.
“Our holiday marketing blitz uses compelling imagery of Peru to create a distinctive platform for the brand,” added Xavier Equihua, CEO, PAC. “Eye-catching bins, RPC wraps, and in-store demos have been designed to capture the customers' attention and encourage them to purchase this superfood, Avocados from Peru.”
The Peruvian Avocado Commission, headquartered in Washington, D.C., aims to increase the consumption and demand for Avocados from Peru through advertising, retail promotion and public relations.
