What's Your Emergen-C?

Three shot products are the latest additions to the Emergen-C® brand: the original Emergen-C Health & Energy Booster, Emergen-C Immune+™ System Booster, and Emergen-C Alert!™ Energy & Focus Booster. The brand’s best-selling flavored fizzy drink mix, Emergen-C Health & Energy Booster, now comes in an orange-flavored 2.5-ounce shot packing 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C, in addition to B vitamins, electrolytes and antioxidants to provide a healthy boost. The two other new products, will also be available in 2.5-ounce shot sizes, as well as in flavored fizzy drink mix packets. While the Immune+ shot provides 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C, an immune-boosting blend of natural prebiotics, and a healthy dose of zinc, preservative-free, naturally sweet Emergen-C Alert! offers green tea extract and vitamin B-12. To coincide with the October rollout, the brand’s manufacturer, Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based Alacer Corp., has developed television and radio ads, and “Nutritionist to the Stars” J.J. Virgin will lead a national public relations campaign. The suggested retail prices are $2.99 for single shots and $4.99 for a twin-pack of the original Emergen-C Health & Energy Booster, while the powders will range from 89 cents to $1.29 per packet for Emergen-C Alert! and 60 cents to 80 cents for Emergen-C Immunte+, depending on product and retailer.
