Whole Foods Donates Vitamins to Those in Need
Throughout July, Whole Foods Market is partnering with Vitamin Angels for the fourth year to donate vitamins to pregnant women, new mothers and children under 5 years old in developing countries.
The Austin, Texas-based grocer will donate 25 cents to Vitamin Angels with each purchase of a Whole Foods Market and 365 Everyday Value supplement.
Select products from brands like Amazing Grass, Garden of Life, Jarrow Formulas, Nordic Naturals, Reserveage and Source Naturals will also be donating a portion of their sales to Vitamin Angels.
Approximately 190 million young children in developing countries are deficient in Vitamin A. This year, Vitamin Angels hopes to supply 30 million children with this essential nutrient.
