Whole Foods Launches Exclusive Body Care Lines
Whole Foods Markets said last week it has an exclusive on four new product lines that qualify for the organic/natural grocer's Premium Body Care seal, because they meet Whole Foods' standards for being made without any of the more than 300 ingredients the grocer has banned; and for not being tested on animals.
The lines include organic baby care items under the Peter Rabbit Organics Garden Fresh Baby Care brand. The line was recently named Best Baby Care Line by Natural Solutions Magazine, said Whole Foods.
Depth Body Care products, another new line, includes marine botanicals and ocean vegetation, and was developed by two marine biologists, the grocer said.
Alaffia Sustainable Skin Care, a third line, uses unrefined shea butter as its primary ingredient in premium handmade lotions, creams, and soaps.
The grocer said it joined Teens for Safe Cosmetics to launch a line of natural and organic body care products "for teens by teens" called Teens Turning Green. The line features nine products created for teenage skin.
