Winn-Dixie Uncaps ‘PepsiCo TICKETS Fore CHARITY’

Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. has unveiled the “PepsiCo TICKETS Fore CHARITY” program, which will involve the participation of local nonprofit organizations. The program is a component of the planned Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open golf tournament, the newest stop on the PGA TOUR’s Nationwide Tour. The tournament is scheduled for October 2010.

Event tickets will be donated to Jacksonville, Fla.- area, nonprofits for sale through TICKETS Fore CHARITY, with the organizations retaining 100 percent of the proceeds. PepsiCo, the title sponsor for the program, will provide a $50,000 bonus pool to be distributed among the participating nonprofits at a rate based on their percentage of total ticket sales.

Weekly tickets for the tournament will cost $25 in advance and $35 at the gate. These tickets will be good for admission on all seven days of the tournament and also allow access to the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse.

Tickets are currently on sale to the public at www.winn-dixiejacksonvilleopen.com. Ticket buyers must designate one of the participating nonprofits to benefit from the ticket purchase.

Participating organizations must have valid 501(c)3 status to qualify for the program.

Winn-Dixie operates 515 retail grocery locations, including over 400 in-store pharmacies, in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia and Mississippi.
