WPVGA Bows ‘Breakfast of Champions’ Recipe Contest
In an effort to help consumers stick to their healthy new year’s resolutions, the Antigo-based Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA) has launched the “Breakfast of Champions” recipe contest. The grand-prize winner will receive a $400 gift card from Williams-Sonoma; second and third place winners will earn $150 and $100 gift cards, respectively, to their favorite grocery store.
Consumers can submit their favorite breakfast recipe featuring Wisconsin potatoes online by Jan. 4, 2013, and rate their favorite Breakfast of Champions potato recipe from January 5-25, 2013. Rating a recipe will enter each participant's name into a drawing for the chance to win a $100 gift certificate from Williams-Sonoma. Contest submissions will be shared on the Eat Wisconsin Potatoes Facebook page throughout the contest; winners will be announced Jan. 30, 2013.
The WPVGA will also provide grocers with free downloadable recipe tearpads of the Breakfast of Champions winning recipe in early February, as well as a selection of free point-of-purchase materials, available on the WPVGA website.
The WPVGA is a non-profit organization that represents and promotes potato and vegetable growers across Wisconsin. It currently serves more than 300 members and affiliates.
