NACDS, Pharmacists' Group Form Coalition
ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- In what both organizations call a historic move, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) and the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) said they'd created the Coalition for Community Pharmacy Action (CCPA), marking the first time that all 55,000 community pharmacies in the United States -- chains and independents alike -- will be represented by a single group on legislative and regulatory issues of common interest. -
Price Chopper to Offer In-store Clinics in Connecticut
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Price Chopper here has entered into an agreement with Farmington, Conn.-based ProHealth Physicians, the state's largest primary care physician practice, to provide greater access to professional health services by offering in-store clinics located right next to the Price Chopper pharmacy. The MedAccess units will provide on-site health care visits for as little as $45 a visit.
