Royal Ahold said this morning that it had a strong fourth quarter and fiscal 2007, exceeding the financial targets it had set, and delivering an underlying retail operating margin of 4.6 percent against its own guidance of 4 to 4.5 percent.

Food Lion LLC, a division of the Delhaize Group, has named Hans Lefebvre v.p. of meat and seafood, reporting to Derrick Penick, s.v.p. of merchandising and distribution. Lefebvre replaces John Mercer, who has moved to another position in the company.
