NEW YORK -- The latest suitor showing interest in regional chain Pathmark Stores, Inc. is its primary supplier, C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc., according to published reports here.

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Food Lion, the Southeastern chain owned by Delhaize America, the U.S. division of Brussels-based Delhaize Group, has unveiled a new exclusive line of wines made for the chain by the Canandaigua Wine Co., based in Canandaigua, N.Y.

Zaandam, The Netherlands -- Ahold has completed the divestment of 12 Hypernova hypermarkets in Poland, to Carrefour. Closing of the transaction, which was announced on November 15, 2004, was subject to the fulfillment of various conditions, including anti-trust approval.

BOULDER, Colo. -- Wild Oats Markets, Inc. yesterday reported preliminary financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended Jan. 1, showing net sales up 11.0 percent in the fourth quarter; and 8.1 percent for the year to a record $1.05 billion.

LANDOVER, Md. -- Giant Foods Inc. of Landover, has completed its rollout of Fujitsu point-of-sale (POS) hardware and loyalty software to its 200 stores throughout Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. The rollout is part of Ahold's objective to consolidate POS hardware platforms for its Giant-Landover and Stop & Shop chains. Stop & Shop has used Fujitsu or its predecessor POS systems for more than 25 years.

Zaandam, The Netherlands -- Ahold has cancelled a three-year bank credit facility it had obtained in December 2003 to prop up its finances after a major accounting scandal erupted almost two years ago.
