GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A federal bankruptcy court cleared the way for Spartan Stores Inc. here to pick up five stores from the bankrupt Carter's Inc. for $1.1 million while G&R Felpausch Co., owners of Felpausch Food Centers, also made a successful $300,000 bid for one Carter's store.

Jon Corzine last week requires the state Department of Human Services to keep track of which businesses rely on NJ FamilyCare, a Medicaid-funded health care program for working-poor families, to provide medical benefits for a minimum of 50 employees, according to a published report.
