Wal-Mart's 'Economic Stimulus Plan': More Price Cuts
BENTONVILLE, Ark. -- As the lame-duck Bush administration tries to push its economic stimulus plan through, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. here is unveiling its own plan to boost the economy, and it doesn¿t need congressional approval: more price cuts. The retailer said yesterday it has rolled back prices on thousands of items, ranging from 10 percent to 30 percent discounts.
